Review

Eduardo Uzal (40 years old), debuted in the Technical Direction at the age of 21, in the soccer of the interior of Uruguay, Artigas Sportivo Club was his first club as coach, where he directed 8 formative divisions, being crowned departmental champion in 6 of them. Then it was his turn to coach Club Atlético Boca Juniors, where he managed 10 formative divisions, winning the departmental championship in 8 of them. These successful passages in minor divisions lead him to become the coach of the youth team of Cerro Largo, where he was crowned undefeated champion of the entire interior of Uruguay. Already in the first division of Club Atlético Boca Juniors, he achieved a departmental championship, in a club that represents a great sporting project in his life, and that until then had only been champion 5 times in 80 years.
This achievement catapulted him to professional soccer, he reached the reserve division of Cerro Largo Futbol Club, and became assistant coach of the first team, where he participated in the South American Cup. After this cup, he became the head coach of the club that still plays in the first division of Uruguayan soccer. Among his most important achievements, he obtained the first victory of Club Cerro Largo, against the multi-awarded champion of America and the world, Club Atlético Peñarol, being this a historic triumph for the institution and the Uruguayan soccer. Immediately after that period, he travels in search of knowledge, observing trainings of Marcelo Bielsa, Manuel Pellegrini and Aníbal Maño Ruíz. Already in 2018, he participates, analyzing rivals of the Ecuadorian championship and the Copa Libertadores for the coach Alfredo Arias, who was working at Emelec. This same Technical Director takes him as the main Assistant to the Colombian giant Independiente Santa Fe, where they work to date (classification of the Santa Fe team to the South American Cup).
